In order to connect the printer to your network wirelessly you first have to tell the printer that this is your desired connection method. To do that follow the steps below.
- Go to the printer and press the Menu key
- Press the up/down arrows to navigate to the "system Settings" option in the menu and hit OK
- Press the up/down arrows to navigate to the "Interface Settings" option in the menu and hit OK
- Press the up/down arrows to navigate to the "LAN Type" option in the menu and hit OK
- Press the up/down arrows to navigate to the "Wireless LAN" option in the menu and hit OK
Now you need to follow the steps to connect the printer to your actual network.
SSID Auto Search Method: (Preferred)
- Go to the printer and press the Menu key
- Press the up/down arrows to navigate to the "system Settings" option in the menu and hit OK
- Press the up/down arrows to navigate to the "Interface Settings" option in the menu and hit OK
- Press the up/down arrows to navigate to the "Wireless LAN" option in the menu and hit OK
- Press the up/down arrows to navigate to the "Wireless LAN Easy Setup" option in the menu and hit OK
- Press the up/down arrows to navigate to the "SSID Auto Search" option in the menu and hit OK
- If you get a message "Please select Wireless LAN for LAN type" Please make sure that you followed the steps outlined above for telling the printer you want to use a wireless connection
- Press the up/down arrows to navigate to the wireless network you wish to connect to from the list and hit OK
- using the up/down arrows enter the password fr your wireless network and the press the "Accept key"
- You should receive a "Connection Succeeded" message. Press the "Exit" selection Key
- The Wireless LAN light should now be solid blue indicating the printer is connected to the network.
