Thank you for your printer purchase! Johnson Plastics Plus is excited to help you get started and running with your new sublimation printer. In order to make the install process as smooth and efficient as possible, please review this pre-install checklist PRIOR TO your scheduled install date and time.

This guide will help you understand the items to have prepared before your installation as well as preview what the training will consist of.

 IMPORTANT: It is preferred to have completed prior to the Installation:

  • Setting up the printer
  • Connecting the printer to the stand
  • Filling inks and initial ink charge

This process can take up to 2+ hours to complete.

 

  Before your Install

  • Connection type, be sure to have the following ready:
    1. USB cable (A-B cable)- 6’ length recommended
      • Do not plug this cable into the printer and computer until instructed to do so during printer installation.
    2. CAT-6 Ethernet cable- minimum 6’ length recommended
  • Printer is out of the box and all packing material is removed.
  • The printer stand is assembled and printer is attached to the stand. 
    1. Follow the install guide sent with the printer shipping information.
  • The printer is turned on and the start menu is set up- Date, Time, Language, etc.
  • The inks are loaded and the initial ink charge is complete.
  • Install the printer paper roll.

 

Tasks and Info to be covered during the Install

  • Setup of the Printer and Print Drivers.
    1. Download the Communication Driver
    2. Download Epson Net Config software
    3. Download Edge Print Main installer
    4. Down load Edge Print installer
    5. Load the Epson Edge Print software
  • Connecting the printer to the computer (Wired Connection):
    1. Have desired connection method cable ready, do not connect to the computer until asked to by the Technician.
  • Sending jobs to and printing from Epson Edge Print Software.
  • Basic printer maintenance.
