Thank you for your printer purchase! Johnson Plastics Plus is excited to help you get started and running with your new sublimation printer. In order to make the install process as smooth and efficient as possible, please review this pre-install checklist PRIOR TO your scheduled install date and time.

This guide will help you understand the items to have prepared before your installation as well as preview what the training will consist of.

System Requirements

  • Windows 10, 8.1, 7 (32-bit or 64-bit), Windows Vista and Windows XP
  • Mac OS 10.13.x, Mac OS X 10.12.x. 10.11.x, 10.10.x, 10.9.x, 10.8.x, 10.7.x

Temperature recommended for operating

  • 65-75°F (18-24°C)

Humidity recommended for operating

  • 45 – 65% (no condensation)

Supported Design Software for File-to-Print Workflow

  • CorelDRAW X6 - present
  • Adobe Illustrator CS6 or later
  • Adobe Photoshop CS6 or later
  • Photoshop Elements 15 or later

Before your Install

  • For wired connection type, be sure to have the following ready:
    1. USB cable (A-B cable)- 6’ length recommended
      • Do not plug this cable into the printer and computer until instructed to do so during printer installation.
    2. CAT-6 Ethernet cable- minimum 6’ length recommended
  • For wireless connection type, be sure to have the following data ready:
    1. Wifi network name
    2. Wifi network password
  • Printer is out of the box and all packing material is removed.
  • Remove the colored tie-down from the inside of the printer.
  • The printer is turned on and the start menu is set up: date, time, language, etc.
  • The inks are loaded and the initial ink charge is complete.
    1. The ink charge process takes about 40 -45 minutes.

 

Tasks and Info to be covered during the Install

  • Setup of the Printer and Print Drivers.
    1. Load the Epson Edge Print software if desired. (PC Only)
  • Connecting the printer to the computer.
    1. Wired Connection
      • Have desired connection method cable ready, do not connect to the computer until asked to by the Technician.
    2. Wireless Connection
      • Have WiFi network information readily available.
  • Sending jobs directly to the printer from Graphic Software.
  • Sending jobs to and printing from Epson Edge Print Software. (PC only)
  • Basic printer maintenance.
